Helen Ling, BSc(Hons), BMBS

Born in Hong Kong, Helen graduated from University of Nottingham, England in 2000. After completing pre-registration house officer training in England, she moved to work in Thailand. In 2007, she obtained the Thai National board of Neurology. In the following year, she completed a one-year postgraduate training in Neurodegenerative Disease and Movement Disorder and a master program in medical science in Bangkok. In 2008, Helen granted the Thailand Research Fund for Young Researcher and was awarded a travel grant by the Movement Disorder Society. In the Annual Congress of Movement Disorders in Chicago, Helen received a bronze medal for a platform presentation in the Video Olympics event. In the same year, she joined the RLWI and is undertaking a clinical research fellowship in Movement Disorders. Helen is carrying out research on post-encephalitic parkinsonism and other conditions with neurofibrillary tangles. She is also involved in a clinical study on bradykinesia.
